KAUSHAL BHARDWAJ Having undergone all available mountaineering courses from reputed ABVIMAS, Manali, and scaled countless peaks in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Ladakh, Kaushal Bhardwaj has successfully led many trekking and climbing expeditions. One of the most demanding mountaineers in the industry; he has himself climbed all popular peaks of the region repeatedly. He is well verse with all trekking routes and mountaineers feel safe when he is leading the expedition. Kaushal grew up in the lap of the Himalaya and took up mountaineering as a profession at very young age. He has worked as a visiting instructor at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Manali. He also volunteers for rescue operations on distress call. 	SURESH SHARMA A trained mariner, avid trekker, personal survival techniques expert, fire fighter and a travel writer, Suresh Sharma found his soul connected to the mountains in 90s when he made it a routine to climb up the mountain, pitch the tent, light the fire and spend days in wilderness. He is trekking and climbing since then. He turned down a proposal for the post of engineer from a reputed company based in Hong Kong and hatched the idea of bringing together mountaineering professionals and run an adventure tourism venture. He delivers lectures on mountaineering, survival techniques, navigation, social responsibility and environment to the newbie. 	NARESH Born in the lap of Himalayas, Naresh has god gifted ability to defy gravity as he can climb continuously for hours without getting exhausted. To give his ability a professional shape, he underwent mountaineering courses at ABVIMAS, Manali. He first worked as an instructor with this institute, but later chose to fly in open sky and joined the Discover Himalaya family. A soft spoken soul who transforms himself into a tough mountaineer once he wears his mountaineering gears. Although he has good technical knowledge, his another ability is to recognize Himalayan flora and fauna and to use natural resources. “These mountains are my playground” is what Naresh says to all new mountaineers. 	SHERA Sher Singh Thakur aka Shera has also been the student of ABVIMAS, Manali, one of the best mountaineering institutes of the world. He is the youngest and newest member of Discover Himalaya. He joined the family in 2015. He has been actively participating in various expeditions. He is quality of leadership and has been commander of many groups. He speaks slowly but he climbs loudly. “Shera” is not a “lion” but snow leopard inspires him with its technique to walk on snow and cliffs. One of his dreams is to befriend with a snow leopard and spend few days with this elusive animal. While leading the trekking trail, Shera tells the encouraging stories of mountaineering to the clients which fills them with energy and enthusiasm. 	JOEY HATTIS Joey lives in Boston, United States. He is an avid trekker who has been visiting Himalayas again and again. Hiking is his passion. He has done trekking on various routes, especially in Himachal. Keen to learn the cultural beliefs of various civilizations, he is learning Hindi and loves Pahari culture.
